In Greece

Greece is a rich country for its biodiversity. Its richness is due to the geographical location of the country, its intense relief and especially its mild Mediterranean climate.

Honey Benefits

Properties

Honey consists of sugars that are absorbed immediately by the body, so honey is a quick source of energy. It is recommended for athletes, children, pregnant women, sick people and for any affected organism.

Who we are

A beekeeper of new generation who started with love for beekeeping and nature. My first contact with bees came in 2012. Since I was fascinated by the wonderful society of bees, I decided to start beekeeping, first for the needs of my family and secondly for some good friends. Little by little, honeybees are growing with the aim of increasing production and distributing quality products to consumers. Since I had no family tradition, I had the opportunity to experiment and develop new methods.

About Bees

The bee is considered to be the oldest inhabitant of the Earth, as it has lived for at least 15 million years.

Queen’s average life is between 2 and 5 years, while the worker’s life is 35-45 days. The Queen will come out of the hive only once to mate about 15 to 20 drones, whose sperm is kept for the rest of their lives. From that moment on, he never does the same again! In the spring the queen gives birth to 1500 – 3000 eggs a day.

A bee over the course of her life will collect less than ¼ of the spoon of honey. To produce 1kg of honey, it is necessary to work 1000-2000 bees and the bee will need to visit about 2 million flowers and travel 89 km of flight.

How we produce our honey

PRODUCTION IN A NATURAL WAY

Our honey is produced in an absolutely natural way, without any preparation or processing, just as honey must be. Our insistence on quality, of course, costs us the amount of honey we produce, as the mild exploitation we exercise – leaving a quantity of honey to be consumed by bees – does not allow us to produce large quantities. The packaging and bottling of honey is done in a certified bottling plant, with ISO 22000.
